That's all it takes. Even across your organization, you can keep using it for free, indefinitely, with no contract.
Move to the Business plan when you need an album database shared within your organization, cloud integration, company-wide rollout, or other features.
Add Business
OptionalFor when you need license keys, cloud integration, or company-wide rollout.
- 1
Set up an organization and group in the Member Portal
Open the Member Portal with the same account you used in the app. If you do not belong to an organization, submit your company details via "Request an organization", then create a group within the organization to organize how contracts are assigned.
A new organization is created once it passes an administrator review and is approved, and you become its first owner.
- 2
Consultation (optional)
If you are considering company-wide rollout or cloud integration, contact us via the company site. We will discuss your requirements and recommend the best plan.
- 3
Issue a free evaluation contract (optional)
Generate a free evaluation contract in the Member Portal to try the Business plan features for a limited period. Use it to verify behavior before purchasing. The Hosting and Onprem contracts described below also offer evaluation contracts.
An evaluation is a trial before purchase. Continued use requires a purchase.
- 4
Purchase (Business plan) → contract created
Select the target group and purchase the Business plan, and a contract is created in the Member Portal. Payment is processed by FastSpring, the Merchant of Record.
- 5
Issue and distribute license keys
Issue license keys within the contract's valid period. Use a group policy file to set license keys and connections in bulk and distribute them to employees, so they can start using it right after installation. See where the group policy file lives →
Album database options
With the Business plan, your organization can run an album database — a shared repository of submission data and documents. Choose from three ways to operate it.
SQLite (file-based)
No extra contractSimple operation on a shared folder.
Run the album database as a file on a shared folder. All you need is a Business plan license key — no additional contract required.
Hosting (cloud)
Hosting contractShare via our managed cloud server.
Connect to an album database on the cloud server we operate. Share the same database across sites without setting up a file server or VPN.
- 1 Purchase a Hosting contract in the Member Portal
- 2 Configure the album database assignment in the Member Portal (register the login authentication method, your Business license key, and so on)
- 3 Enter the issued database name (tenant ID) in the app's connection settings
Onprem (self-hosted)
Onprem contractShare without data leaving your premises.
Connect to an album database server installed on your own server. Even organizations that cannot place data outside the company can share across sites. The features are identical to the cloud version.
- 1 Purchase an Onprem contract in the Member Portal
- 2 Download the container image (Docker, zip) from the Member Portal and issue a server license key (separate from Business license keys)
- 3 Install it on your server, then enter the server URL and DB name in the app's connection settings
Hosting and Onprem require a Business contract. For every contract, a free evaluation contract is available before purchase.
Diagrams compare where the album database, the group policy file, and eCTD Storage sit under each of the three options. See system layout & where things live →
How the Member Portal fits together
Create a group within your organization, bind a contract to that group, and issue license keys from the contract.
Organization
A unit such as a company. Managed in the Member Portal.
Group
Created within the organization. The unit a contract is assigned to.
Contract
Created on the group you select when you purchase the Business, Hosting, or Onprem contract.
License key
Issued within the contract's valid period. Business contracts issue keys for the app; Onprem contracts issue keys for the server.
